Synopsis: Contemporary guidelines recommend lower LDL-C cholesterol goals and more intensive treatment regimens. However despite these recommendations, many patients struggle to reach their LDL cholesterol goals leaving them at elevated risk for adverse cardiovascular events. RNA-based therapeutics is ushering in a new era of molecules that may not only help us address medication adherence allowing more patients to reach LDL-C goals, but enable us to completely re-think our preventive care paradigms.
